Brand Consistency & Color Management

The packaging industry has changed dramatically over the last few years. It is now common for brands to have a designated packaging provider for printed materials in order to protect the brand consistency. GPA Global is the designated packaging solutions provider for many of the largest brands.

How We Do It

Step 1: Artwork Screening

Artwork engineers screen the artwork with a long checklist. Reflection of the actual color will differ from printing methods (offset, silkscreen) or materials (paper, plastic, metal), so this screening will align this outcome by adjusting the color parameters in the artwork.

Step 2:  Press Calibration

Printing machines are like humans—they have characteristics. This pre-press process would output a setting of press machine, spot-color ink formulation, and even the sequence to each color. Upon a change of printer, we would pick the corresponding profile.

Step 3: Color Measurement

With color, what you see is what you get. Our devices, I-one color-bar scanner and spectrophotometers, give objective advice from their precision optical viewpoint. Onsite printing measurement data and retained printed sheet scanned results, will all go straight to our database to control and analysis.
