The awards ceremony, which was held virtually on October 7th and hosted by NFL Hall of Famer Joe Montana, saw 130 different companies nominated for nine separate awards.
On this occasion, the team was nominated for four different awards but ultimately picked up the prestigious title of Supplier of the Year, which – according to Diageo – is defined by “superior quality, service, innovation, and value…social responsibility, and commitment to safety, environmental awareness and sustainability.”
HUB Folding Box is a family business based in Mansfield, Massachusetts that was started over a century ago by Francesco DiRico. Today, the company is overseen by two members of the DiRico family, including Jack, who operates as Executive Vice President, and Tony, who is CEO.
In 2020, we acquired HUB Folding Box and brought it into the GPA Global family. Today it is one of our major manufacturing sites that does vital work servicing brands based in the United States. Of our partnership, Jack DiRico had this to say: “Now that HUB is part of GPA Global – we are an international player. This makes us enormously more powerful and much better able to service Diageo across the world. We are truly fortunate to be considered such a trusted partner.”
Our own CEO, Adam Melton, also had some words to share about this award: “It is really such an honor to achieve this award for Diageo and showcase our team’s dedication to detail and execution. Jack DiRico, Rich Klein and team have poured their heart into every project for the last 40 years with Diageo, and to be recognized in this way is incredible.”
Congratulations to everyone at HUB – we can’t wait to see what comes next!
